Quick answers

How do you complete the Gorod Krovi Easter egg?

It is rated Very Hard and takes about 60–100 min. The run breaks down like this:
  1. Turn on power (Dragon Command)
  2. Build the Guard of Fafnir (Dragon Shield)
  3. Repair the Dragon Network → Pack-a-Punch
  4. Ride a dragon; earn the Dragon Strike Controller
  5. Egg → warm → 3 trials → Gauntlet of Siegfried
  6. Collect the 6 trophies
  7. Solve the air-valve pipe puzzle
  8. Enter the code KRONOS
Each stage is written out in full — with the exact locations, the order things must be done in and what to do when a step refuses to trigger — in the walkthrough below.

What is the Wonder Weapon on Gorod Krovi?

Gauntlet of Siegfried. How you get hold of it — the parts, the crafting steps and the upgrade if it has one — is covered step by step in the walkthrough, along with whether it is required for the main quest or simply worth the detour.

How long does the Gorod Krovi Easter egg take?

About 60–100 min for a run that already knows the steps, and we rate it Very Hard. A first attempt takes considerably longer — almost all of the time goes on setup rather than the finale, so knowing the order in advance is what shortens a run.

Can you do the Gorod Krovi Easter egg solo?

Players: 1–4 (solo-capable). It is solo-capable. Co-op mainly helps with the timed steps, where a second player can hold a zombie or cover a second position, and it makes the ending far more forgiving.

Is there a song Easter egg on Gorod Krovi?

Yes — 3: “Dead Ended”, “Ace of Spades” and “Samantha's Sorrow”. Kevin Sherwood ft. Clark S. Nova. Hold Use on 3 vodka bottles: Department Store first floor (on a couch), Operations Bunker (among burning crates by the Network machine), and the Supply Depot 1500-point room (on a shelf). Full trigger steps for each one are in the side Easter eggs section.

What are the main areas on Gorod Krovi?

6 are documented: Belinski Square (spawn), Dragon Command, Department Store, Tank Factory, Supply Depot and Hatchery (PaP). Knowing the names matters more than it sounds — most guides, including this one, describe locations by area name rather than by direction.

How many side Easter eggs are on Gorod Krovi?

12 are documented here — song, free weapon, mechanic, free perk and reward. Each one has its own steps rather than a one-line mention, so they can be followed mid-game.

Are there solvers for the Gorod Krovi puzzles?

Yes. Gorod Krovi has randomised puzzles whose answer changes every match, so there is nothing to look up — this guide ships 1 interactive solver that take what your own game is showing you and return the answer for that run. They are embedded at the step that needs them and listed together in the solvers section.

When was Gorod Krovi released?

16 Aug 2016.

Key areas

Belinski Square (spawn)

The challenge tombstone and the dead dragon used in shield and song steps.

Dragon Command

Power switch, S.O.P.H.I.A., the Groph terminals and a dragon-summon pad.

Department Store

Juggernog building; upper floor holds song items and cosmetic mannequins.

Tank Factory

Giant-robot foundry with Double Tap; Mangler and valve steps here.

Supply Depot

Multi-level depot with Groph cylinders, trophies and a song item.

Hatchery (PaP)

Reached only by riding a dragon — Pack-a-Punch, the egg and the valve puzzle.

Steps at a glance

  1. Turn on power (Dragon Command)
  2. Build the Guard of Fafnir (Dragon Shield)
  3. Repair the Dragon Network → Pack-a-Punch
  4. Ride a dragon; earn the Dragon Strike Controller
  5. Egg → warm → 3 trials → Gauntlet of Siegfried
  6. Collect the 6 trophies
  7. Solve the air-valve pipe puzzle
  8. Enter the code KRONOS
  9. Complete the 5 S.O.P.H.I.A. trials
  10. Mangler lockdown → red keycard
  11. Deliver the Power Core to Nikolai's mech
  12. Boss: Mother Dragon, then Nikolai 1.0
The quest runs on escorts and dragons. Keep a friendly green-eyed Valkyrie Drone or Mangler alive as you herd it to the Dragon Command teleport pad — let it die and that trial restarts. Save the Dragon Strike Controller for warming the egg, and bring Quick Revive and Widow's Wine for the final arena.

Before you start

What to have in hand before step 1 — from the loadout notes, from the walkthrough itself, and from the map's own quest documentation where the gate is never stated in a step.

Loadout & perks
  • The Guard of Fafnir shield blocks attacks and throws a fireball (later upgradable to Tiamat's Maw) — build it early for survivability. — step 2
Items to bring / craft first
  • Code Cylinders must be collected and inserted in a fixed order — Blue (Dragon Command), Yellow (Supply Depot), Red (Tank Factory) — before Pack-a-Punch opens. — step 3
Round and timing gates
  • After warming the dragon egg at the Dragon Command nest, wait a full round before the three egg trials become available. — step 5
  • Powering the Valkyrie Drone generator for the air-valve puzzle starts a 5-minute countdown — miss it and the generator shuts off, needing a Hatchery re-trigger. — step 7
  • The KRONOS letter wheel locks you out until the next round on a wrong entry — know the sequence (K-R-O-N-O-S, top to bottom) before you shoot. — step 8
Point of no return / one-attempt steps
  • The Hatchery lockdown is a four-wave defence all present players must start together at the Dragon Strike console — use the pillars for cover and kill Manglers early. — step 4

The quest in the order this guide runs it — tap any step to jump to it, and it fills in as you tick steps off.

1
Dragon Command

Power on

+

Flip the wall switch by the interior stairs. This boots S.O.P.H.I.A. and the Groph terminals — zombies now drop Code Cylinders.

2
Armory · Infirmary · Ops Bunker

Build the Dragon Shield

+

Grab three parts from those zones and craft the Guard of Fafnir at the Operations Bunker workbench. It blocks attacks and has a green fireball (later upgradable to Tiamat's Maw).

3
Dragon Command · Supply Depot · Tank Factory

Repair the Dragon Network → PaP

+

Collect the Code Cylinders in their fixed drop order — Blue (Dragon Command), Yellow (Supply Depot), Red (Tank Factory) — and insert each into that area's Groph Module. Each insert launches a Groph Pod that lands at a random spot marked by a green beam in the sky; get to it and defend it (~15 kills nearby) until it opens and yields a part. The three parts assemble the Dragon Network Controller at the Operations Bunker console, letting you summon a dragon (500 pts) and ride it to the Hatchery.

4
Hatchery

Hatchery lockdown → Dragon Strike & PaP

+

Upstairs in the Hatchery, all present players interact with the Dragon Strike console to start a four-wave lockdown (use the pillars for cover and kill Manglers early). Clear it to take the Dragon Strike Controller; Pack-a-Punch then opens on the Hatchery's lower level. Take a sewer exit back to the city.

5
Hatchery · Dragon Command · spawn

Egg → Gauntlet of Siegfried

+

Shoot the green dragon egg above the basement grate so it drops, carry it to the Dragon Command nest and warm it with dragon fire or the Dragon Strike. Wait a round, then do three egg trials (napalm kills, single-shot penetration multi-kills, melee kills), charge it at the basement Incubator, and return the cooled egg to the spawn tombstone to claim the Gauntlet of Siegfried.

6
Across the map

Collect the 6 trophies

+

Knock loose six trophies and place them in the six sockets under the trial monitor in Dragon Command (placement order doesn't matter):

  • Gersh — shoot the raised statue hand on the building across from Dragon Command; the trophy falls below
  • Group 935 — during the sewer ejection from the Hatchery, shoot the red light, then collect it from the Hatchery toilet
  • Groph Pod — launch the Gauntlet's whelp (Welp) ability at the locked Operations Bunker safe, then heavy-melee it with the Gauntlet to open it
  • Nuke — Dragon Strike the marked puddle outside Supply Depot
  • Mangler — fire the giant laser trap inside Supply Depot to blast the wall, then take it from the hole
  • Valkyrie — shoot the LEFT of the two windows beside Double Tap with the Guard of Fafnir's fireball; it hits the pipe behind and ejects the trophy next to the perk
7
Hatchery + six valve chambers

Air-valve pipe puzzle

+

Kill a Valkyrie Drone by the basement generator to power it — this starts a 5-minute countdown; if you don't finish in time the generator shuts off and must be re-triggered at the Hatchery. Two things are randomised each match: the green-lit valve (the airflow start) and the whistling valve holding a pink code cylinder. Set every other valve to route the airflow correctly through the pipes, which releases the pink cylinder — then carry it back to S.O.P.H.I.A. at Dragon Command.

Helper: Valve route solver

Gorod Krovi Valve Route Planner

Gorod Krovi — six valve chambers

Both the green-lit start valve and the whistling valve holding the pink code cylinder are randomised each match. Mark those two, then work the other four — tick each valve as you set it and the planner confirms when the route is complete and the cylinder should release.

What this is based onBuilt from the sources listed on this page · 3 sources cross-checked · guide last reviewed 8 Sep 2026.Not matching your game? This puzzle is randomised per match — read the values your own game is showing you, then see the walkthrough step.
8
Dragon Command terminal

Enter KRONOS

+

Insert the pink Master Code Cylinder from the valve puzzle, then shoot the letters K-R-O-N-O-S on the letter wheel left of S.O.P.H.I.A., top to bottom. A wrong entry locks you out until the next round. The opposite terminal now shows all six trophies.

9
Map-wide → teleport pad

The 5 S.O.P.H.I.A. trials

+

Complete five trials in random order: escort a green-eyed Valkyrie and a green-eyed Mangler to the pad, defend a Groph pod, shoot a yellow orb three times, and defuse six bombs in ~2 minutes.

10
Bunker basement

Mangler lockdown → keycard

+

Take the red keycard from the map terminal to the basement's red computer to trigger a Mangler lockdown; survive and reclaim the keycard.

11
S.O.P.H.I.A. → spawn mech

Deliver the Power Core

+

Use the keycard on S.O.P.H.I.A. for the Power Core, then send the Gauntlet whelp to carry it to Nikolai's giant mech outside spawn. S.O.P.H.I.A. opens the red-starred sewer grate.

12
Sewer arena

Boss: Mother Dragon & Nikolai

+

In the pit, survive until Nikolai stuns the Mother Dragon and exposes her bright orange weak points (wings, chest/belly and neck) — burst each while it glows. With the dragon dead, turn on Nikolai 1.0 and destroy the yellow power cores on his shoulders, arms, chest and cockpit to finish him.

Reward: Love and War complete — the DLC3 storyline ending cutscene plays.

Song

“Dead Ended”

+

Kevin Sherwood ft. Clark S. Nova. Hold Use on 3 vodka bottles: Department Store first floor (on a couch), Operations Bunker (among burning crates by the Network machine), and the Supply Depot 1500-point room (on a shelf).

  1. Hold Use on 3 vodka bottles, in any order
  2. Department Store — first floor just outside spawn, on a couch
  3. Operations Bunker — among the burning wooden crates by the Dragon Network machine
  4. Supply Depot — inside the 1500-point first-floor room, on a shelf by a medical box
  5. 'Dead Ended' by Kevin Sherwood & Clark S. Nova plays
Song

“Ace of Spades”

+

Motörhead (licensed). Interact with 3 playing cards: the Tank Factory chalkboard by Double Tap, S.O.P.H.I.A.'s desk in Dragon Command, and next to Pack-a-Punch in the Hatchery.

  1. Interact with 3 playing cards, in any order
  2. Tank/War Factory — on the chalkboard near Double Tap
  3. Dragon Command — on S.O.P.H.I.A.'s desk
  4. Hatchery — next to the Pack-a-Punch machine
  5. 'Ace of Spades' by Motörhead plays
Song

“Samantha's Sorrow”

+

Buy Monkey Bombs, then throw one into 3 separate patches of dragon fire; a Samantha doll appears at the spawn tombstone to start a hide-and-seek doll hunt.

  1. Get Monkey Bombs from the Mystery Box
  2. Throw a Monkey Bomb into the AI dragon's ground fire at Dragon Command, Supply Depot and the Tank/War Factory
  3. Go to spawn (Belinski Square) — a Samantha doll appears by the tombstone; interact to start the hunt
  4. Five dolls hide one at a time, each playing the lullaby to locate it — shoot each within the time limit
  5. Complete all five for a Max Ammo and the song (too slow and Samantha resets it)
Free weapon

Guard of Fafnir → Tiamat's Maw

+

The buildable Dragon Shield — upgrade it with ~30–50 fire kills and by burning three purple symbols with its fireball.

  1. Build from three parts (each in a fixed zone, rotating spots): Jugger-Nog/Department Store, Infirmary/Stamin-Up, and the Armory area
  2. Craft at the Operations Bunker table — its melee is a green fireball that blocks dragon fire
  3. Tiamat's Maw: get 30 fireball kills
  4. Shoot three purple symbols with the fireball (Dragon Command staircase, Supply Depot broken roof, the Giant Robot's shoulder at Tank Factory)
  5. Stand in dragon fire with the shield ~10-20s for immunity, then dip it in the dead dragon at Belinski Square for Tiamat's Maw (red fireballs, tougher)
Free weapon

GKZ-45 Mk3 → Maelstrom of Eris

+

A separate Mystery Box Wonder Weapon (dual GKZ-45 + Ray Gun Mk III) — shoot the slow-cloud with the right gun for a black hole; PaP into Maelstrom of Eris.

  1. The GKZ-45 Mk3 comes only from the Mystery Box (no build)
  2. It's dual-wield: the left gun fires a yellow slowing cloud, the right is a piercing Ray Gun Mk III
  3. Shoot a yellow cloud with the right-hand gun to make a black hole (one-shot kills to ~round 29)
  4. Pack-a-Punch it in the dragon-ride rooftop PaP room for the Maelstrom of Eris (about double ammo, longer, stronger)
Mechanic

Dragon riding

+

After three Network Circuits, pay 500 to summon and ride a dragon to the Hatchery and Pack-a-Punch.

  1. Charge the three Groph Module pods (Dragon Command, Supply Depot, Tank/War Factory) with kills and take each Network Circuit
  2. Insert all three into the Dragon Control Network terminal in the Operations Bunker's underground
  3. Activate a Dragon Summoning console at a station (the main one is at Dragon Command's U-shaped catwalks)
  4. When the dragon lands, approach its neck and interact to mount (up to four riding stations)
  5. It flies to a building — drop through the rooftop hole into the Pack-a-Punch room (PaP costs 2,500)
Free perk

Widow's Wine challenge

+

Complete the Tier-3 challenge on the right of the spawn tombstone for a free Widow's Wine (also via Der Wunderfizz).

  1. Go to the Trial/challenge tombstone in Belinski Square (spawn)
  2. Work through the Trial tiers — the reward is tied to the Tier 3 (right-side) challenge
  3. Completing Tier 3 grants an extra perk slot plus a free random perk (a common way to get Widow's Wine here)
  4. (The exact Tier 3 task may be randomised; it's also available from Der Wunderfizz)
Reward

Upgraded Dragon Strike

+

Rack up ~40 Dragon Strike kills, hit the flags around Spawn/Quick Revive, Tank Factory, Dragon Command and Supply Depot (count scales with players), then redo a Hatchery lockdown using Dragon Strike each wave.

Reward

Dragon Wings

+

Build the Gauntlet and ride from all three dragon stations, then claim the wings from the Department Store top-floor mannequin — fire/explosive resistance and free dragon travel.

Reward

Mangler & Valkyrie Helmets

+

Finish the Mangler-kill requirements (including destroying helmets/arm cannons) and the Valkyrie-drone requirements, then claim each helmet from the Department Store mannequins for extra resistance.

Reward

Time-trial melee weapons

+

Beat the time board's marks — round 5 before 5:00 (Wrench), round 10 before 13:00 (Malice), round 15 before 24:00 (Slash N Burn), round 20 before 32:00 (Fury's Song) — and claim from the time-trial board.

Reward

Upgraded Monkey Bombs

+

Complete the pot/candle interaction, earn the required Monkey Bomb kills, then throw a charged Monkey at the matching tomb.

When it isn't working

The stalls that actually cost people runs on this map, and what to do about each.

TroubleshootingEach of these is quoted from the step it belongs to, derived from a gate the guide already states, or researched from the map's own quest documentation — nothing here is guesswork about what might be going wrong.

Stuck on step 7 — Air-valve pipe puzzle?

Kill a Valkyrie Drone by the basement generator to power it — this starts a 5-minute countdown; if you don't finish in time the generator shuts off and must be re-triggered at the Hatchery.

Common Gorod Krovi questions

Direct answers to the specific things players look up mid-game — part locations, puzzle steps and more.

How do I get to Pack-a-Punch on Gorod Krovi?

By riding a dragon to the Hatchery — there is no walking route to it. Repair the Dragon Network with three circuits first, then pay 500 at a dragon station to summon and ride one.

Why does my escort keep dying?

And when it does, that trial restarts. You have to herd a friendly green-eyed Valkyrie Drone or Mangler all the way to the Dragon Command teleport pad alive, so clear the route ahead of it rather than fighting alongside it.

How do I build the Dragon Shield?

Parts from the Armory, the Infirmary and the Ops Bunker. Upgrade it into Tiamat's Maw with roughly 30 to 50 fire kills and by burning three purple symbols with its fireball.

What is the GKZ-45 Mk3?

A second, entirely separate Wonder Weapon from the Mystery Box. You need both a GKZ-45 and a Ray Gun Mark III, then shoot the slow-moving cloud with the correct gun for a black hole. Pack-a-Punch turns it into the Maelstrom of Eris. It has nothing to do with the Gauntlet of Siegfried.

How do I get the Dragon Wings?

Build the Gauntlet and ride from all three dragon stations, then claim the wings from the mannequin on the Department Store top floor. They give fire and explosive resistance plus free dragon travel.

How do I get free Widow's Wine?

Complete the Tier 3 challenge on the right of the spawn tombstone. Der Wunderfizz can also roll it.

What are the time-trial melee weapons?

Beat the marks on the time board and claim from it: round 5 before 5:00 for the Wrench, round 10 before 13:00 for Malice, round 15 before 24:00 for Slash N Burn, and round 20 before 32:00 for Fury's Song.

How do I get the Mangler and Valkyrie helmets?

Meet each enemy's kill requirements — for Manglers that includes destroying their helmets and arm cannons — then claim each helmet from the Department Store mannequins. Both add resistance.

What should I bring to the boss fight?

Quick Revive and Widow's Wine, and keep the Dragon Strike Controller in reserve. It is also what you use to warm the egg earlier in the quest, so do not burn it all on crowds.
