Rezurrection classics
The four original World at War maps, remastered in the BO1 Rezurrection pack. None has a boss Easter Egg — they're survival maps — but each has signature mechanics.
Quick answers
How do you complete the Rezurrection classics Easter egg?
- Nacht der Untoten — the very first map. No power, no perks, no PaP: pure survival across two rooms + the box
- Verrückt — introduces Perk-a-Colas and the electro-shock traps; turn on power, hold the split asylum
- Shi No Numa — perks scattered across the swamp huts, the Wunderwaffe DG-2 from the box, and the map's signature traps: the Flogger (a 750-point rotating log trap), the ziplines and the electric barriers (there is no Fly Trap here)
- Der Riese — the teleporter map: link all 3 teleporters to the mainframe to unlock Pack-a-Punch; this is where the Fly Trap side quest actually lives

Before you start
What to have in hand before step 1 — from the loadout notes, from the walkthrough itself, and from the map's own quest documentation where the gate is never stated in a step.
- The BO1 Rezurrection pack remasters four original World at War maps — Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa, Der Riese — plus Moon, which carries a full boss quest and has its own page on this codex; it is not covered here.
- None of the four classics has a boss Easter egg. All four predate that concept entirely; Der Riese's Fly Trap is the closest any of them gets, and even that pays out with dialogue and an achievement only in the 2008 original.
- Full step-by-step walkthroughs for all four already exist on this codex — this page is the differences summary, not a replacement. Each block below points to the relevant page.
- Shared BO1 changes across all four: Cold War-era weapons replace the WWII pool in the Mystery Box, and the Carpenter power-up is added.
- Hellhounds exist on only two of the four: Shi No Numa, where they debut, and Der Riese, where they continue past round 25 as an alternative to power-up drops. Nacht der Untoten and Verrückt have no dog rounds in any version.
- Only Der Riese has Pack-a-Punch. The other three have none at all, which is why their traps and perk order matter so much.
Where your run will differ
Gathered here so you meet them before they cost you a run rather than after — quoted word for word from the guide below, or researched from the map's own quest documentation.
This map exists in more than one release, and these are the points where they differ. Everything else in this guide applies to both.
- “Version: Undone was added in Black Ops 1 with three barrels and continues into BO3/Zombies Chronicles with a harder rule (every barrel — the wiki counts 28).” step 1
- “Nacht der Untoten —'Undone': shoot the red barrels outside the map (added in Black Ops 1 — three barrels…” Classic hidden songs

No power, no perks, no traps in the 2008 original — pure survival on wall guns, grenades and a fixed Mystery Box. BO1 adds Cold War weapons to that Box (plus Monkey Bombs and the Thundergun), swaps the unnamed Marines for the Ultimis crew (Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, Richtofen), changes the Help Room radio's playlist to campaign and Dead Ops Arcade tracks, and adds the Carpenter power-up. Mule Kick arrives later still, via patch 1.15. The barrel song Undone is also a Black Ops addition: shoot three exterior red barrels visible from the Starting Room windows (they only need to be damaged, not destroyed).
Version: Undone was added in Black Ops 1 with three barrels and continues into BO3/Zombies Chronicles with a harder rule (every barrel — the wiki counts 28). It is not BO3-only.
Perks and the Power Switch already exist in the 2008 original, along with the Electro-Shock Defences — there is still no Pack-a-Punch. BO1 swaps Cold War weapons into the Box, replaces the Springfield wall-buy with a Kar98k, adds the Carpenter power-up and Mule Kick, adds Winter's Howl and Monkey Bombs to the Box, reuses Kino der Toten's zombie models, and swaps the unnamed Marines for the Ultimis crew. An extra interactive radio is added on the American-side balcony, playing campaign and Zombies tracks. No dog rounds in any version.
The four perks (Jugger-Nog, Speed Cola, Double Tap, Quick Revive) are already scattered randomly across the outer huts in 2008, and Hellhounds debut here — still no Pack-a-Punch, so the Wunderwaffe DG-2 from the Box never scales up. BO1 keeps the WWII wall guns but swaps the Box to Black Ops weapons plus Monkey Bombs, adds Carpenter, and — via an update on 27 September 2011 — adds Mule Kick to the Starting Building. It also adds a fourth radio, Backtracing to the Future, covering how the Ultimis crew travelled from Der Riese to Kino der Toten. Solo zombie counts increase per round here in BO1, unlike the World at War original.
Pack-a-Punch, the Bowie Knife, Monkey Bombs and the Fly Trap all debut in the 2008 original — this is the only one of the four classics with an upgrade station. BO1 adds Mule Kick (Thompson/furnace side) and the Thundergun to the Box, and lets solo players buy Quick Revive for 500 points, up to three times, as a self-revive. Hellhounds continue here past round 25 as an alternative to a teleporter power-up drop. The Fly Trap itself is unchanged by the remaster: no item reward in either version, dialogue and an achievement only — the Annihilator and free-perk chain some guides describe belong to The Giant, a separate Black Ops 3 map, not this one.
Order to tackle them, and where each one holds
New to the classics: Nacht der Untoten is the shortest, tightest introduction — two rooms and the Box, nothing else to learn. Verrückt adds perks and a real power switch. Shi No Numa adds randomised perks and the Wunderwaffe DG-2, and is the most spread out of the three perk-less maps. Der Riese is the natural finish, since it is the only one with Pack-a-Punch. For holding: Nacht trains best upstairs near the Box-side stairs; Verrückt loops the kitchen/hall route, firing the Electro-Shock trap on cooldown; Shi No Numa holds the Fishing Hut, its largest room; Der Riese holds the catwalk near the STG room or, as an alternative, the Teleporter C balcony. Each map's own page (linked above) gives the full loadout for its hold.
Quick win: None of the four punishes you for skipping doors you don't need — unlike later maps, there is no achievement tied to opening every room on any of them.

Classic hidden songs
Verrückt: “Lullaby for a Dead Man” (flush the one bathroom toilet 3 times). Shi No Numa: “The One” (interact with the single black telephone in the Comm Room three times). Der Riese: “Beauty of Annihilation” (hold interact on the 3 green specimen jars — two in the Animal Labs, one in the Teleporter B side room).
- Nacht der Untoten — 'Undone': shoot the red barrels outside the map (added in Black Ops 1 — three barrels; BO3/Chronicles makes it every barrel)
- Verruckt — 'Lullaby for a Dead Man': flush the bathroom toilet three times
- Shi No Numa — 'The One': interact with the single black telephone in the Comm Room three times
- Der Riese — 'Beauty of Annihilation': hold interact on the 3 green specimen jars (two in the Animal Labs, one in the Teleporter B side room) — the radios are separate lore with no song attached
- Each plays once per game
Der Riese Fly Trap
Shoot the red switch beyond the back gate with an upgraded weapon to start a hide-and-seek: find and shoot the 3 hidden toys (two teddy bears and one Monkey Bomb — no doll) for hidden dialogue — the original zombies side quest.
- Pack-a-Punch a weapon first — the switch only responds to an upgraded gun
- From the Pack-a-Punch room take the left door and look out the window down the alley toward the mainframe to spot a small panel
- Shoot the panel with your PaP'd weapon — green lights rise and Samantha starts a hide-and-seek
- Shoot teddy bear 1: high in a window at the top of a building, left as you leave Pack-a-Punch (near the M1A1 Carbine)
- Shoot teddy bear 2: inside the animal cages by the M1897 Trench Gun
- Shoot toy 3: the Monkey Bomb inside the open Furnace Room furnace (near the Thompson) — Samantha says 'You win', then 'Game Over'
Worth knowing
Nacht has no power, perks or PaP — pure survival. Shi No Numa's perk machines spawn randomly per hut and the Wunderwaffe DG-2 debuts there. Der Riese is where Pack-a-Punch began.
iOS app extras
The old iOS Call of Duty: Zombies app adds a Radio Silence? achievement for the Nacht radio, an Open Wide... achievement for the Verrückt dentist chair, and Peter's Grave on Shi No Numa (dig up a free Wunderwaffe DG-2 once the map is fully unlocked).
Loose change (Der Riese, WaW only)
Go prone in front of any Der Riese perk machine for a small one-off points bonus — around 25 — in the World at War original.
Recommended loadouts
Three strong picks for this map — the map's Wonder Weapon plus reliable box/wall options. These are pre-augment-era games, so the setup is the gun plus Pack-a-Punch and perk synergy.
Wunderwaffe DG-2
Chain lightningBox on Shi No Numa & Der Riese. Chains through the whole train — the original wonder weapon.
Ray Gun
All-roundBox (where the box exists). Nacht has no PaP or perks, so on that map it's raw survival with wall guns.
MG42 / wall guns (PaP where available)
SurvivalOn the classics, PaP and perks vary by map — Verrückt has perks, Nacht has none. Learn each map's economy.
